Mission, Vision and Values

The mission of St. Luke’s Christian College is to prepare Christian leaders for service to church and community.

The vision for St. Luke’s Christian College is to train and equip men and women to be core leaders within their local churches and communities without requiring students to leave their community for an extended period of time.
Students will be identified by their local church or community as current leaders or people with leadership abilities who can benefit from further training. Once students have completed a course of study, they are expected to use their training in community leadership. Not only will they help to develop and lead healthy, strong and growing congregations and communities, but they will also train others to serve with them.
All classes, whether in theology or in leadership, will be Christ-centered and Biblically based so that students might be empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead and to serve with godly character and vision.

We believe that fulfilling Christ’s command to make disciples is best accomplished when all people of God function as ministers and missionaries (instruments of transformation). We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to prepare and equip women and men for effective leadership in an emerging nation like South Sudan. These values reflect who we are, what we believe and what directs our decisions, our actions and our relationships with others:

We will practice open, truthful and timely communication with students by carefully listening and responding to their needs

We will protect the dignity and rights of individuals by providing services in a caring and sympathetic manner.

We will promote a climate of trust and respect which encourages administration, faculty and student to work together.

We will provide quality education with high academic standards to a wide range of students.
